For this project, I had to create a book cover jacket and inside pages for a song of my choice. I chose House With No Mirrors by Sasha Sloan because I relate closely with the topics of mental health and body image. I also created two social media graphics to promote the "book".
I did all the photography and compositing needed for this cover. I hand wrote the type in the title to make the title appear as though it were carved into the broken mirror.
I chose to craft a photo composite that conveys the impact of body dysmorphia on the mind, using a shattered mirror and darker tones to set the mood. In this composition, the mirror fragments reflect a torso entwined with a prominently displayed tape measure, symbolizing the profound influence this condition can have on one's self-perception.
